A Mountain For Elodie Vienna Theatre reviews
WAY TOO LOUD!!
"A Mountain For Elodie were amazing, totally fabulous musicians. They were witty and entertaining. Unfortunately, they travel with an audio guy that must be losing his hearing. Just as good or better than their videos, they deserve five stars. Where else can you see someone play the piano with their toes? When I complained that it was too loud, he said it was only 90 decibels. That's loud enough for permanent hearing loss after two hours. The cannons weren't as loud as this concert when the BSO did the 1812 Overture. It's a concert hall with excellent acoustics. The stadium style amplification washed away all the nuances and made it sound muddy, which was a shame since these guys are high caliber musicians.
O Come O Come Immanuel was played by A Mountain For Elodie. It brought tears to my eyes. Mr. Nelson and Mr. Schmidt poured every beautiful emotion into the song, and the result was heavenly. It redeemed the evening."
